CFA Institute is bringing a very special offering to CFA Society members and their children. Sheila Bair is a former FDIC chair and financial expert and is well known for her leadership helping families protect their money, now through financial education. Sheila has written a new picture book series, Money Tales, to help kids develop financial literacy. Her fun stories use fantasy, rhyme, and humor to help children grasp basic financial concepts. Suitable for kids ages 5–12, her most recent titles deal with such subjects as excessive borrowing, impulse-buying, and financial scams.
Sheila has a long-standing relationship with CFA Institute and is the Senior Advisor and Founding Chair of the CFA Institute Systemic Risk Council. In the spirit of our shared commitment to ensure a financial system in which we can all have confidence, Sheila has generously offered to host a series of virtual book readings. Children will watch and listen to Sheila read, while also viewing the entertaining illustrations to help them follow along. They will also have the opportunity to have their questions answered by Sheila.
The event is moderated by CFA Institute’s Randi Tolber, Managing Director, Global Member & Society Relations.
