On February 27th we organized the final event of Research Challenge in Helsinki with four finalist teams participating. After a suspenseful event we celebrated this year’s winner.

CFA Society Finland is always delighted to organize this annual dinner that features guest speakers, dinner with networking, forecast results, diplomas and casting predictions for next year.

Our year started off with a fun evening at the casino. Networking, poker and dinner was on the agenda on this Janury evening with our members and candidates.

We were happy to gather with members for the last time during 2024 at our Christmas events in Helsinki and Tallinn. Also the latest charterholders at our Society were awarded.

CFA Society Finland hosted a real-estate themed event with Fidelity International in mid-November. Topic sparked much conversation which hopefully will continue at a later event.

Local Research Challenge has kicked off for this year with nine participating universities from Finland and Estonia. Kempower as a subject company and FactSet as data provider, it will be an interesting research project for the students again!

CFA Society Finland hosted a really interesting discussion on alternative credit end of October. Audience took part as our terrific speakers elaborated on this topic, specifically the private credit markets in United States.

Providing financial security in retirement is increasingly difficult as global populations age and pension systems evolve. The Netherlands’ retirement income system has retained the top spot in the 2024 Mercer CFA Institute Global Pension Index, The Index highlights the need for retirement system improvements amid falling birth rates.

Annual General Meeting was held this year at Restaurant Töölönranta by seaside near Helsinki center. We were happy to welcome CFA members, celebrate new charteholders as well as congratulate the new board for FY25.

CFA Society Finland held a crypto themed breakfast event in Hotel Lilla Roberts with a great lineup of guest speakers. Our attendees learned a good deal of new elements in the crypto asset world.

Jan Street provided a lovely evening for CFA Society Finland members with some discussion on bond markets and ETF’s as well as tasty wine varieties.

Forecast Dinner was spent in festive spirits on the 29th February. The evening featured a great keynote and awards for the year 2023 were announced.
