Annual General Meeting 2024 was held 29th August

On 29th August 2024, it was time again for CFA Society Finland members to gather together for Annual General Meeting to go through higlights from last operational year. This time the meeting was held at Restaurant Töölönranta in Helsinki on a beautiful end of summer evening. We were happy to welcome around thirty members to the event.

Thank you very much to Miia Hukari, CFA for acting as the chair of the meeting, as board president Toni Iivonen presented the board report and strategic plan, and treasurer Juhani Häyrinen, CFA the financial statements and budget for next year. As the nomination committee chair, Antti Raappana, CFA introduced the nomination committee work and how the nominatons are considered.

The nomination committee proposal was approved and the new board members for the next board season are: Toni Iivonen, CFA as president, Tuomas Hillukkala, CFA, Markku Leppälä, CFA, and Philip Garner, CFA, as vice presidents, and Evgeny Artemenkov, CFA continuing with the board with new board members Antti Ihalainen, CFA, Antti Kontio, CFA, Endriko Võrklaev, CFA and Yang (Jenny) Zhan, CFA. Lots of congratulations to everyone! Afterwards Antti I., Endriko and Jenny introduced themselves to the meeting audience.

Society also thanked the leaving board members Onni Hautala, CFA, Juhani Häyrinen, CFA, Roope Relander, CFA, and Vahur Vallistu, CFA.

During the evening, we also celebrated the new Charterholders in our area. Congratulations to Martti Ahto, CFA, Risto Karinkanta, CFA, Janne Kelahaara, CFA, and Joel Vanha, CFA, as well as Tero Oikarinen, CIPM. Welcome to CFA Society Finland!
