Forecast Dinner was held on 26th February
CFA Society Finland celebrated the annual Forecast Dinner on 26th February at Scandic Grand Central Hotel in Helsinki. With close to 50 of our members present, the evening was spent with an interesting presentation and awarding the diplomas for Forecaster and Volunteer of the year, as well as attendees casting their predictions for the year 2025!
We were delighted to welcome Robeco as our guest and evening sponsor. As board president Toni Iivonen, CFA had introduced our guests, the audience got to hear Lejda Bargio, Deputy Head of Quant Client Portfolio Management, speaking on the evolution of quant investing and the work Robeco does at integrating new signals into their quant model - including AI and large language models (LLMs). As a very topical subject Lejda got to also answer a lot of questions from the audience.
After the presentation and dinner with some lively networking, board member Evgeny Artemenkov, CFA presented the forecast results from the year 2024. This entertaining section of the evening is crowned with the Forecaster of the Year Award which this time went to Juuso Molander, CFA. Great work Juuso! As Volunteer for the Year, the Society awarded Onni Hautala, CFA for many years of actively participating in the Research Challenge as well as board work. Thank you and warm congratulations to both!
See you all again next year with the forecast results!
