Is the Office dead? was the question on 14th November

CFA Society Finland held an excellent morning networking breakfast even at Hotel Klaus K in Helsinki 14th November. This event was organized together with our sponsor Fidelity International and we were delighted to welcome Adrian Benedict, Head of Real Estate Solutions at Fidelity International, and Maarten Frouws, Portfolio Manager, European Real Estate, Fidelity International, to speak on the topic “Is the Office Dead”. Attendees listened to insights into the latest research on real estate investments and whether there is still a relevant need for traditional office spaces, considering also the different market environments in Europe, United States and Asia

After our event and some great discussion, we are happy to conclude that office space is still very much alive, even though there is a shift in what investors and companies are expecting from the asset class. In addition to location, quality, and attractive prize, factors such as ESG reporting, staff retention and expectations towards employers’ choosing more sustainable buildings are driving office occupiers towards greener choices. Thank you to all our members attending for your excellent questions!

Thank you very much Adrian and Maarten for being a guest at our event as well as Kaisa Paatsola for arranging this opportunity. Glad to hear some more on this topic in future!
