We would have loved to meet you all in-person for this special event in the CFA Society Finland calendar. However, this year the situation forces us to organize Forecast Dinner virtually. We hope to make this event as interactive as possible and offer interesting and topical presentations by our event speakers, not to forget declaring past year's Forecaster of the Year, as well as Volunteer of the Year. Madis Müller, CFA , FRM, is the Governor of Bank of Estonia since 2019, and served as the bank's Deputy Governor from 2011. Mr.Müller has also worked for International Finance Corporation as a senior portfolio officer, equities, as well as at World Bank as as an advisor and senior advisor to the Executive Director of the Nordic-Baltic constituency. He graduated as a Master of Science in Finance from George Washington University in 2006 and Estonian Business School, BBA in banking and finance in 1999. In addition, Madis has carried out various additional courses in finance and management run by INSEAD, IFC, the World Bank, the European Central Bank, the Federal Reserve in New York, PricewaterhouseCoopers and others.
Salman Ahmed, PhD, joined Fidelity in August 2020 as Global Head of Macro and Strategic Asset Allocation. Previously, he was co-chair of Global Investment Committee and Chief Investment Strategist at Lombard Odier IM (LOIM). Before spending nearly 8 years with LOIM, Salman was head of Global Macro at EDF Trading between 2009 and 2012. He also spent nearly 5 years with Goldman Sachs International as a global economist within the global macro team. Salman holds a PhD and MPhil in Economics & Finance from University of Cambridge. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Lahore University of Management Sciences, Pakistan, in 1999.
