Join a live interactive webinar in partnership with the European CFA Societies and CME Group on “Mapping the Impact of ESG on Derivatives Markets”.

ESG is increasingly reshaping the investment landscape. A whole new ecosystem is evolving to meet changing demands. CME Group's MD of Energy Research Owain Johnson will explore current ESG trends and its impact on the derivative markets.

Owain will take a deep dive into the impact of Covid-19 on the ESG landscape. He will also answer questions on if and how climate change and energy transition will change market dynamics as well as the role of green energy and thermal coal. The webinar will conclude with a general insight into what is next for ESG going into 2021.

Owain Johnson is Managing Director of Energy Research and Product Development at the CME Group. His team ensures the integrity of CME Group's existing energy futures benchmarks, which include WTI, Henry Hub, DME Oman, RBOB and NYH ULSD. They also develop new risk management products for the global energy industry as well as undertaking original research.

Within CME Group, Johnson previously served as Managing Director of the Dubai Mercantile Exchange and Executive Director of CME Group Singapore. Before joining CME Group in 2010, Johnson served as Asia Business Development Manager for Argus Media.

Johnson is the author of "The Price Reporters: A Guide to PRAs and Commodity Benchmarks" and co-edited the Oxford Energy Forum's report on oil benchmarks. Johnson is a member of the International Association for Energy Economics and earned his master's degree from Cambridge University.
