As the event speakers we will be welcoming Dr. Tuomas Välimäki, Board member, Bank of Finland, presenting on "Current themes in monetary policy" and Dr. Antti Arasto, Vice President at VTT, who will be speaking on the "Hydrogen in energy transition".
After the presentation we will go through Forecasts from 2022, award Forecaster and Volunteer of the Year 2022 and continue with forecasting for the year 2023.

Tuomas Välimäki is a Member of the Board of the Bank of Finland. Tuomas is responsible for investment of the Bank of Finland's financial assets, monetary policy implementation and market operations as well as academic research and research on emerging economies. He is also responsible for cash supply and payments as well as digitalisation and IT issues.
Dr. Antti Arasto, Vice President, Industrial energy and hydrogen, VTT Technical Research centre of Finland. Arasto has nearly two decades of experience in energy sector and innovation leadership with deep understanding on systemic aspects of energy transition, related policy and novel technology implementation. He has wide knowledge on energy and technology; systems, evaluation, feasibility and concepts with know-how and experience in extending from research to power plant construction and commissioning. Expert on renewable fuels (H, CCU and biofuels), CCS and decarbonisation of industry, especially iron and steel sector. He is deeply involved in national and European innovation agenda as Vice Chair in ETIP bioenergy (renewable fuels) and SET Plan IWG8 renewable fuels and stationary bioenergy core team member in addition to board and advisory board memberships of several innovation institutes and funds. He is also a member in Finnish Climate Change Panel.
