Senior Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of Direct Lending, First Eagle Alternative Credit
Michelle Handy is a senior managing director and chief investment officer of First Eagle Alternative Credit’s Direct Lending business, responsible for overseeing underwriting and portfolio management activities. Michelle is a member of FEAC’s global investment committee and operating committee. She became part of First Eagle in 2020 upon the firm’s acquisition of THL Credit, which she had joined in 2016. Previously, Michelle worked at GE Capital, where she held several roles in underwriting, portfolio management and workouts, ending her time there as the chief operating officer of GE Capital Americas’ workout function. Michelle earned a BS in finance and Spanish from Boston College and an MS in finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison
Katherine Taylor
Managing Director
Katherine Taylor is a managing director at First Eagle Alternative Credit, responsible for business development, product development, strategic relationships and fund marketing across the firm’s Tradable Credit and Direct Lending platforms. Kassie became part of First Eagle in 2020 upon the firm’s acquisition of THL Credit, which she had joined in 2016. Prior to THL Credit, Kassie was a vice president and head of fundraising and investor relations at Graycliff Partners, the former private equity team of HSBC in the United States and Latin America. Previously, she was an assistant vice president at HSBC Private Bank, where her responsibilities included alternative asset marketing and new product development, and before that had positions at Loomis, Sayles & Company and State Street Global Markets. Kassie earned a BA in international studies and an MBA from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College.
Jonas Madsén
Nordic Institutional Sales, Amundi
Jonas Madsén joined Amundi in 2020 in the Nordic sales team, where he is responsible for institutional clients in Finland and Norway. Based in the Amundi Stockholm office, Jonas covers all long-only liquid and illiquid asset classes, as well ETF and Index. He holds a MS in Finance from Hanken School of Economics in Finland
