For years now, global investors have been enjoying a rapid growth of the Chinese economy and stable and predictable politics. Benign environment has attracted portfolio flows and direct investments to China. Recently the relative calmness looks to have changed with

(1) more challenging geo-politics, particularly rising tensions with the USA and developments in Hong Kong and Taiwan,

(2) new domestic policy doctrine under the "Common Prosperity" and a cemented position of president Xi

(3) slowing economy together with increasing regulation across multiple sectors and property sector woes.

Please join our breakfast event where, to make sense of the recent developments, deepen the understanding of "why", and look into the crystal ball for what comes next, we are joined by two China experts. The event will start with a keynote from Ms. Catherine Yeung from Fidelity International, delivered remotely from Hong Kong and followed by a fireside chat with prominent China expert, prof. Mikael Mattlin. Antti Raappana, president of the CFA Society Finland, will be interviewing professor Mattlin. Audience will have a possibility to ask questions from prof. Mattlin.
