Macro & Markets outlook event was streamed live on 13 January

CFA Society Finland Macro & Markets Outlook panel with Heidi Schauman, Valtteri Ahti, Ph.D., and Lippo Suominen. Harri Kojonen, CFA is the moderator.

CFA Society Finland was really excited to hold its first ever live streamed member event. Our board member Harri Kojonen, CFA, interviewed a panel consisting of Chief Economist Heidi Schauman from Swedbank, Valtteri Ahti, the head of macro, fixed income and currencies research at Danske Bank Finland and Chief Investment Strategist Lippo Suominen from S-Bank and FIM Asset Management. As the global situation still requires us social distancing, we were happy to offer our members an event with an interactive chance to ask questions from our panelists.

The audience got a chance to follow an interesting conversation about the global economy at a time like no other. Harri inquired the panelists on their views on Asia and the United States’ status and role in the economic recovery, the Central Banks and the stimulus effects, the future prospects of equity price, interest rates and much more.

The conversation flowed in a relaxed manner but at the same time still focusing on key points in the outlook for the year ahead. How far behind is the European economy in the year 2021? What are our strengths here in the Northern Europe? How about our panelists’ own investment strategies? And how do they keep up with professional development? Find out all this by checking the recording of this panel event. You will also find it as a podcast on Anchor and Spotify.
