Member Survey results 2021 are here!

The results for member survey 2021 have been collected, thank you for all the participants!

The main goal for the annual the member survey is for the volunteer board to get feedback towards which direction the Society and its functions are hoped be led. The past years have been challenging to society operations as member value and normal networking have been difficult to provide. We hope to be on our way to normal society functions gradually and wish that this CFA Society Finland 20th anniversary year will provide many memorable member moments again.

Many of the members’ answers reflect the views of past years, but following are few observations from this year.

The experienced value of the Society membership has grown whereas the value of the charter is somewhat decreased. Networking and career development are perceived as most important society functions. As advocacy targets, members prefer firms and universities whereas media is seen as less important.

Preferred communication tool continue to be emails. Annual general meeting, Forecast dinner and Christmas party continue to be pivotal functions in the Society calendar year. Popular event themes include global macro-outlook, perspectives on different asset classes, ESG, hard- and soft skill -workshops as well as networking events. Older members tend to wish more large-scale seminars, regulation and well-being as topics as well as the continuance of virtual events in addition to in-person gatherings.

One of the most important things the Society can offer its’ members is networking possibilities and creating a real community amongst the finance professional in Finland and Estonia. This is duly noted in the society leadership and the board wishes to continue with providing events with good quality professional content included with the possibility of more relaxed interaction.

This year the lucky winner of the survey participant lottery is Toni Pajari, CFA, congratulations! Toni will receive a 100 euro Wolt gift card:)
