Aalto University wins CFA Investment Research Challenge in Finland 2016!

​Aalto University wins CFA Investment Research Challenge in Finland 2016 and heads to Chicago for regional finals.

This year's CFA Investment Research Challenge was a very tight race. In the end, the team of Aalto University was crowned as the winner with a tight margin over the team from University of Vaasa, last year’s winner.

The team from Aalto will participate in the EMEA Regional competition in Chicago, Illinois on April 13th, 2016, and will hopefully advance to the global final on April 14th.

This year’s reports and presentations were on the Finnish sporting goods company Amer Sports. The final was held on the 1st of March in Helsinki, where the team’s got feedback from judges Matti Ahokas (Head of Equity Research, Danske Bank), Sampo Brisk (Senior Portfolio Manager, Ilmarinen), and Jutta Rahikainen (Head of Securities Research, SEB). The two other teams in this year’s competition were University of Oulu and University of Turku.
