Finsif (Finland’s Sustainable Investment Forum ry) published a new Responsible Investment Guide on 10 June 2021. Finsif is a non-profit organizations with a goal to advance responsible investing in Finland and serves as an important informational source and service for investors, asset managers and finance organizations. CFA Society Finland had the pleasure of taking part in drafting the Guide by way of answering a set of questions concerning the Society’s position on sustainable investing.

The Guide is a comprehensive introduction to socially responsible investing, the field’s development as well as advising on the benefits and problematic issues normally raised with ESG investing. It also provides practical examples on the implementation of ESG principles.

The document has been drafted with the help of various Finnish professionals as well as local and international organizations, hence it gives a well-rounded take on how to take ESG matters into consideration. Our board members Niina Arkko, CFA and Peter Lindström, CFA were part of the working group.

We warmly recommend you to familiarize yourself with this guide. You can download it here.

Please note: The Guide is in Finnish language. You can find CFA Society Finland’s position statements from the section “Kansalaisjärjestöjen odotukset sijoittajille”, starting page 33.
