Research Challenge kicks off!

The local kick-off event of this year’s CFA Institute Research Challenge was held on the 19th of November at Hotel Kämp’s Kansallissali. The CFA Society kick-off presentation was delivered by Miikka Hautamäki, CFA, Lassi Simola, CFA, and Antti Raappana, CFA.

The Society was happy to announce that the target company for this year is F-secure. Henri Kiili, Head of Investor Relations, gave a thorough presentation on F-Secure’s strategic priorities and market outlook.

As previous years, Refinitiv, our competition sponsor, will provide the students access to the EIKON platform during the competition, which will be a valuable tool as well as a great learning experience for the students.

A record number of eight University teams are competing in the challenge. The winning team from the Finnish competition will lead their way to the EMEA Regional Finals, which will be held in Jordan beginning of April. The Global Final is held in New York 22.4.2020.
