Seminar on Sustainability jointly with Finsif

CFA Society Finland hosted a seminar jointly with Finsif under the theme "Climate crisis is here. Can EU Sustainable Finance Regulation make a difference?"

The seminar focused on Sustainable Finance regulation, where Sirpa Pietikäinen, Member of European Parliament, as a keynote speaker opened the discussion by explaining the current status on European Commission action plan on financing sustainable growth. Regulation was further discussed by panellists representing regulation, supervisory authority and financial markets. The first panel session was opened by Leena Mörttinen from Ministry of Finance.

The second part of the seminar focused on green bonds as well as the regulation's development on the asset class: taxonomy and standardisation. The panel session was opened by Aila Aho, Green Bond working group rapporteur Sustainable Finance TEG.

The seminar was attended by almost 100 industry participants. It was organised as a side event to the World Circular Economy Forum organised by Sitra that kicked off the same day.
