Study ethics at home!

As we unfortunately had to cancel the Ethical Decision-Making Workshop scheduled for this spring, we are glad to offer alternative ways for you to keep up with your ethics education. Ethics Learning Lab is an online tool provided by CFA Institute in collaboration with Nomadic Learning where you can find extensive resources on the topic: reading material, example cases, videos, quizzes and more. In addition, you can earn CE-credits while taking part in these exercises.

There are two routes when doing these ethics studies online: programs and resources. Programs are time-sensitive small group learning experiences. Each program is comprised of several field manuals, i.e. online modules, which cover different topics in the program. Additional guidance is provided on the website.

There are two programs you can choose from. Ethical Decision-Making -program features case studies based on real-life situations and provides insight into making the right choices in one’s career path. Giving Voice to Values -program, developed by Dr. Mary C. Gentile, aims for an individual to actively use ethical values in practice and thus have a real effect with one’s ethics knowledge.

Resources are online study material one can access any time individually and different segments can be done in any order you wish. There are dozens of different subjects to choose from. You can find an interview series “Ethics in Business: In Their Own Words”, as global business leaders discuss how businesses are preparing for ethical future while facing varied challenges. Or maybe immerse yourself into ethical standards in the digital age, learn how to build moral muscle memory as well as recapping essential ethical principles CFA Charterholders are expected to adhere to.
