CFA Institute offers Data Science courses for investment professionals
Data and statistical techniques are becoming core skills for investment professionals. CFA Institute has created a series of beginner level, online courses that will help you learn key concepts of data science and uses of machine learning, AI, and big data in asset management.
These courses can be carried out on participant’s own schedule, in the form of videos, readings, assessments, and discussion prompts for interacting with other learners on a discussion board. Courses also include interactive labs that offer learners an opportunity to see demos of and practice coding in Python and R. The course integrates both technical and soft skills to provide learners with the wide range of skills they need on the topic of data science.
These courses are suited for a wide range of professionals including analysts, portfolio managers, relationship managers, or those who aspire to be in these roles, and particularly well suited for those who are working between their investment colleagues and data science teams.
